Strangely enough, I have more handwritten work on the Choctaw side of my father, John Davis Howard, thanks to my Grandmother, Ethel (Garrison) Howard.
My Maternal side, mother Ann (Garrison-yes!) Howard, has been done and I don't feel I can contribute much there. I hope I will be able to go and look at all of that material soon.
The family names would be Howard, Garrison, Platts, Pruitt and Gaw.
I am in the middle of a move and my briefcase with Grandmother Howard's Choctaw records--extensive records--is missing in action. However, I feel sure I'll find it. At that time, I hope to add a lot to the Choctaw records. I think I chose to start with my Indian ancestors as I knew it would be the biggest challenge! If I come back an write 'DEAD END OF ME' that might be a clue to my progress. Best to all. Carol Ann Howard
