I have been researching my family roots for the past several years, and have found a considerable amount of information, particularly on the Internet, which has whetted my apppetite for more. I have been searching for the Howard family on my father's side, and for the name Schellhous on my mother's side. An interesting note is the fact that my great-grandfathers on both sides of my family came west to California during the Gold Rush, about 1851 or 1852, searched for and found gold, and returned to the east, and then came back again to California with their families to establish ranches in the mid-1850's. I am particularly interested in finding out about any of the Howard family who came from Massachusetts.
