Fenton Family in Iowa and Kansas

I'm searching for information about Zina Fenton, who was born between 1826 – 1827 in New York, and died September 15, 1870 in Fontana, Kansas. He married Mary Lovina Thompson, who was born in 1836 in Pennsylvania. Although a resident of Linn County, Kansas, she died December 22, 1877 in Sherman Township, Story County, Iowa, while visiting her children.
Although my grandmother said her grandfather's name was Zion Fenton, I've found a number of census and military records listing him as Zina. After she was 9 (1875), my grandmother's mother, Mary "May" Fenton Lenihan, lived with Arnold and Susan Granger Fenton's family in Nevada, Sherman Township, Story County, Iowa. Because the 1880 census lists him as her uncle, I assumed he was Zina's brother. But I can't find any records to confirm that relationship, perhaps he was a cousin.

Possible aunts and uncles: Elisha, Arnold, Rachel, and Dan.
