James M. Thompson was member of the Rainbow Division in World War I.,he also was anative of Gordon,Ga..He attended Mercer Univerity and Emory at Oxford.He was retired from the Georgia Power Co. ,was a member of First Methodist Church.And he was a veteran of World War I,having served in the Rainbow Division of the U.S.Army.Survivors include a daughter,Mrs. Margelynn Coogler of Macon, Ga.;a sister,Mrs.Bessie Logan of Theodore,Ala.,and a brother,William Thompson of Atlanta,Ga. Rev.William A. Thompson,a former Mobilian,who was ordained in St.John'sEpiscopal Church in 1931.He retired from active Ministry.He served as TECTOR OF sT.mARTIN'S-IN-THE-fIELDS Episcopal Church,ForestAcres,Clubia,S.C.,for 17 years.He and a group of layman organized the church 1950.Rev. Thompson retired from Magnolia Springs,Ala., in January,where he was in charged of the South Baldwin area from 1931-1934.He was a native of Macon ,Ga. and received his education at the Philadelphia Divinity School. He served parishes in Florence,Montgomery,Ala. and Philadelphia,Pa. and was assistant to the rector of Trinity Church,Columbia,S.C. from 1948-1951.Rev.Thompson was married to the Former Doris Alexander of Mobile,Ala. She was a professional artist and was a instructor at the University of South Carolina. Mrs.Thompson had several art exhibtions in Mobile,Ala. and Fairhope,Ala..
