Notes for David [1] Sly: 1785.October 8,living in Franconia New Hampshire,declared intention to marry Mary Mansfield.The Dudley Mass.record says" forbid by her." within 3 months she married Ebenezer Fitts Jr. 1788 June 7 sold to a John Bates 8 1/2 acres " cedar swamp' which was willed to him togeather with the white pine island in said swamp, by his father Stephen Sly. 1789 Shown to be living in Cumberland of Providence R.I. 1791 to 1794 lived in Franconia N.H. 1792-1793-1794 Davis lived in Franconia N.H. 1795 Sold his 100 acre farm in Franconia to Zebedee Applebee. 1797,Aug 10 in consideration of $300 in hand the delivery thereof by Sarah Sly widow,of Wheelock,Caledonia Co.Vt.to David Sly,the farm of 100 acres lying in the township of Franconia, N.H. 1797,Aug. 24 David Sly of Wheelock sold 66 2/3 acres to Z.Applebee, blacksmith,for $200.lawful money. 1806 David moved to Upper Canada steeling om Lot 11 Concession 2 South Crosby township,Leeds County.( His nephew Nathan Joshua settled in Kitley township)
