This documentation of the Effingham Howards is the result of 35 years of research into the ancestors of Dr Wilkie Leonard Howard, of Leeds County Ontario. Using currently available databases, the family line was traced back to England, and as far back as written records exist today. As many collateral lines as was possible were also explored, but not to the extent of the primary line.

Exploration continues to this day, with new connections appearing frequently. Many members of this family are United Empire Loyalists. We are always looking for new connections, so do not hesitate to communicate.
