Francis Lean and Mary Ann Paul were married in Chasewater Kea in Cornwall 1841. They had 9 children. Olivia, b1841,Samuel,b 1843, Loveday b1845, Benjamin Paul b 1847, Nicholas b1850, William Francis b 1853, Mary Ann b1858, Catherine b 1861, Grace b 1864.The boys Samuel and Benjamin came to Australia and settled in the Bathurst area. Olivia came later with Nicholas and all married here. The other girls and William stayed in Cornwall with parents. I have most of the Ausralian line accounted for. But am unable to find the birth dates of Mary Ann Paul, and Francis Lean who probably were born in 1821 They were considered minor's on the marriage certificate. Their fathers' names were recorded and Benjamin Paul and Christopher Lean. Without their mothers names I cannot go back any further. The Boys did very well here in Australia and Richard Lean the son of Samuel built the first team driven car in Australia at Lithgow NSW. My family came down through Benjamin Paul Lean and our generation keep in touch quite often. Its the lot that stayed in Cornwall that give me the headaches. Margaret Howton
