My name is Terrie Howse. Mt mother is Martha Jane Barrett Bass. Her father was Joe Barrett and mother Climmie Barrett. I live in Alexandria, TN. I am currently working on my family tree. I've run into a roadblack with my great-great grandfather and grandmother. Their names are James and Margaret Baret (Barrett). Birth records seem to be the hardest to find. He was born in South Carolina and she was a Tennessean. He fought in the Seminole War and I'd like more information about this.
My great grandfather was Obediah Barrett. I can't find anything about his DOB or DOD. Records of military have been found. I understand he and a few brothers fought in the Civil War (Union). I can't seem to find the info for his brothers.
