My husband and I have been researching his family for several years. We have many of the ancestors but are still looking for documentation for John Howieson in Pennsylvania after 1850 and before 1871. He was born in Scotland between 1818 and 1820 and returned to Scotland without his family in 1871 and died before he could return. He married Christianna Eve Mort on Dec. 25, 1854 in Sand Patch Somerset Co., Pennsylvania. His son and family along with Christianna lived in Houtzdale Woodward Township Clearfield, Pennsylvania in 1880 and in 1900 and are listed in those census reports.
