About 2 years ago, I received a program from the place where I worked. The program was called "Family Tree Maker". I was very skeptical to use it at first. I had no idea how to gather information on or even for my family history. One evening, after I came home from work, I installed the program, with the help of my boyfriend, Doug. I decided I would put in a little information at a time as not to over work myself. As time went on, I became more and more curious about my families history. I called and emailed relatives asking if they had information on there parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, or any family member they can possibly imagine. The responce I got was suprising. Every single family member that I came across, had a little tid bit of information that I was able to use. Eventually, I had gathered quite a bit of information without even relizing it. So, as a result, I decided to make a book out of it. That way, the furture generations of the "Howie's"; "Patterson's"; "Sapp's" and everyone else who is listed in this book will be able to see or at least ahve some idea of where they came from. I hope that when you reads these pages, you don't just see names with dates. I hope you see a part of your history unfold before your very eyes. Because these pages aren't just about people from the past, there about the ancestors of OUR past. I've done all the hard work on researching and developing the family history book, now all you have to do is read and enjoy! I hope each and every person who reads this book, is touched in a special way. The ancestors that are in these pages are a part of our history. These are the people that paved the path for us to mark our territory. If it hadn't been for them, we wouldn't be where we are today. When you read these pages, please think of the trials and tributes of what our ancestors when through to bring us this far.
