About Our Family Research
Researching John Howell, my great grandfather, born abt. 1843 in Powell County Kentucky. Father's name was Thomas Howell. John married Nancy Combs and settled on a homestead in Forest County Wisconsin in the 1900's. Homestead of 129 acres was on Howell Lake. John died in Vilas County Wisconsin and is buried in Phelps cemetery in Phelps, Wisconsin.
