Adelard L. Julien (son of George Julien and Marie-Louisa Monsion) was born March 20, 1908 in Ogdensburg, New York, and died September 29, 1982 in Minoa, New York. He married Genevieve Williams on July 09, 1930 in Ogdensburg, New York.

Adelard was a wheelman on the George Hall Steamship Line, he also held a captains (pilot's) license. He sailed the cargo ships from the mouth of the St. Lawrence through the Great Lakes. He was a Plumbers apprentice in the winter when the lakes froze over. Moved to Syracuse during WWII to work in the defense plant at General Electric. He was also was Air raid warden. He organized the guards into the plant protective association after dissatisfaction with the AFL/CIO. Moved to Minoa, NY, where he was active in the Volunteer Fire Department and local politics, was Mayor of Minoa and building Inspector. After his retirement he and his wife spent winters in Daytona Beach , Florida and summers in Minoa. He was killed while cutting down trees in his yard.
