I have been researching since 1972 due to a school project. Now I love this project. It makes me proud to look back and look forward. I believe this makes it possible to go forward and down doing this project is my legacy for family in the future.
I have found William the Conqueror, Henry Hudson the Explorer, Richard the Explorer, and many other well known people in History books are in my family.
In South Carolina, my grandpa Joseph D. Hudson was my family patriarch. I have proudly found quite a few of family members of his brothers and sisters. His father was John Monroe Hudson. His mother was Elizabeth Jane Rice Wynn. His siblings were John Daniel Hudson who was married twice; Louisa Jane Hudson, Amanda Matilda Hudson, Lewis Ton Hudson, Maggie (Peggy N.) Hudson, George Hudson, Monroe W. Hudson, Bert Brose Hudson, and Mary Tabitha Hudson. They were all very interesting people.
While doing this research, I have found out what people did for a living, where they lived, and their health. I do this to see what was inherited. Sometimes I would see their politics, military views,
It is very exciting to do this. I have often viewed this research as working like a detective.
