To all prospective surfers arriving on this page by chance:
I sincerely hope that with the help of the Internet, I (David Hudson) will succeed in helping my father (Kenneth Hudson) finally trace his misplaced, great-grandmother, Henrietta Jones. She emigrated from Norfolk to the USA circa 1878. Probably via Liverpool and New York. This person would have used the name of Henrietta Jones, and was a spinster at the time. Henrietta left behind a daughter that was also christened Henrietta Jones, born on 14th February 1878 in Norfolk, who was adopted by the gamekeeper (name? TBA) for Lord Coventry at that time (name? TBA). Henrietta junior married William Henry Clifford at Croome, Norfolk (date? TBA). (I am in the process of tracing the Clifford's family tree, in case they have more information.)
They had a daughter Marion (date? TBA) who married William Hudson (date? TBA) at Norfolk(? TBA)
they had two sons, Kenneth (date? TBA) and Ivan (date? TBA)
Kenneth Hudson married Phyllis Cooper, (date? TBA) and they in turn had two sons, David (12/03/1947) and Ian (date TBA)
David Hudson married Lesley Margaret Sexton on 05/10/1968 at Cockfosters, Herts. They had a son Christopher 17/01/79 and daughter Naomi, Florence, Joyce 02/08/1982.
I shall be posting our Hudson family tree to date, as soon as it is in my posession.
I am afraid we do not have much to go on, which makes the task even more of a challenge. What is the saying? "Every journey starts with but a single step!" And I have taken that first step, on a long and tedious journey, in an attempt to follow in Henrietta senior's footsteps. We would be grateful to anyone for any information to further assist our search.
