I am researching the family of Silas Brown, born about 1854, who married Viola Headley, in Clare County Michigan. According to family legend, she lived on an Indian Reservation in Mt. Pleasant MI. There was a fire and she was rescued, then being about 4 years old. She was taken in by the Headley family, and adopted although I have no idea how to gather that info.

I also have been researching the Taber family. These are my ancestors as well and were descended from Francis Cooke, of Mayflower fame. I am stuck on two generations: Pardon Taber, whose birth and death dates I acquired, married Mary Sheldon; their son Daniel changed the spelling of his name to Tabor and married Matilda Haynes. Anyone with dates of birth/death for these individuals or with confirmation that this is correct is welcome to contact me. Thank you
