About Our Family Research


My Grandfather (James Craven Martin II) divorced my grandmother (Helen Candee) when my father was 10. Which would have been about 1931. I know very little about either side of my family. My maternal greatgrandparents were Danish and had a dairy farm (Knudsen). The other set of greatgrandparents (Smith)the greatgrandfather was a blacksmith.
My husband's mother was a Butzerin/O'Hara. Her uncle was the first govenor of Montana.
