My ancesters, possibly of German descent, moved from Amherst County, Virginia to Lincoln County, Virginia (later Kentucky ) around 1789. (Frederick - Henry - John - William - Albert - Scott - Alva - Donald - Michael) They owned and farmed land along Sugar Creek. In 1797, that area was formed into Garrard County. My grandfather, was a tenant farmed, that is he worked someonelse's farm. My father, Donald Carrol Huffman was born around Buckeye, Bryantsville district, in Garrard County, his siblings hold a reunion in July in Garrard County.
