Family History published in two Family Tree Maker CD's. Data comes from family histories and family bibles. Hughes family was originally from Wales. Rev. Thomas Hughes came from Denbigh, Wales in the early 1800's settling in Utica, New York. Cook family traced back to Illinois. Purvis family from Purvis, Mississippi. Herring family includes Confederate General Herring from Alabama. Family history says Jackson branch of family was "kin" to President Andrew Jackson (but no data).
