We have traced our line back to arriving in America in April of 1775 from Belfast, Ireland. We suspect we descend from the Huggins who came to Donegal from Ayeshire Scotland in 1614 during the plantations. We have some names between 1620 and 1738 but can not verify them yet.
After arriving in America William settled in Eastern PA. His sons, John and William (b 1769) moved to Western PA and married. Andrew was William's eldest son, born in 1792. Andrew moved to Ohio and had several children including Thomas born in 1820. Thomas married Penina Barnes and had one son in 1847 named Andrew. Thia Andrew moved to Iowa with his mother and her sisters (no trace of Thomas after this).
Andrew had several children, the last of whom was William Jasper Huggins, born in 1879 (my grandfather). Several of the family moved to Dixon Illinois and worked at the shoe and plough factories. William moved to Wisconson for a while where my father George was born in 1910.
Anyone connected to this line?
