The Hughes' have lived in up state new York for four generations.With a start in Kennebec Maine in 1824 with Patrick J. Hughes and his wife Elizabeth from Ireland their son James J. Hughes and his wife Laura Cilley(Silley)did much traveling around New England. Finally setteling in New York.
