My line direct line is from in and around Evans, Jackson Co, and Mason Counties, VA/WV.
Best I know, at this point, my lines comes from Jacob (Job) Hughes, born 1770, s/o Thomas Hughes who married Mary Baker. I have seen a second marriage by Thomas, to Susanna unknown, who might be the mother, not Mary Baker. This information is not set in stone.
Jacob (Job), b 1770, married Mary Hamm. Only have 2 children, Mary Jane, and Joesph/Jobe/Job, born 1816, often shown as Job Jr. I would expect more than 2 children, but that is all I have.
Job, 1816-1886, married Dianna "Anna" King, 1819-1905. I have 12 children, one of which is William Pleasant Hughes, 1840/2-1913.
(my GGrandfather) William P.Hughes aka Web,born Jackson Co,near Evans. Did live most of his life in Evans area,and buried in Creston Cemetery (served 22 Va.Inf Co.B CSA) with wife Mary? Maraget Herdman, 1845/1926.

Alva 1914/1986 (my Father)married Annabella Shears, 1917/1990. Print James, Lester Arthur, Luther, Leo, Orland E (Hoby), Leonard E, Robert (died infant), Dolly/Dollie Dimple. Might be others, but best I know, were infants died young. (Audra/y, 1917-1918).
