"George Bauman First Generation" those simple words were written by my Aunt Anna M. Harman Bowman over 35 years ago when she wrote her book "Bowman". I have tried to fill in where she left off, and still I am working on it.
At the time of Aunt Anna Mae's writtings all she knew of George Bauman was that he came over from Germany in the 1700"s. I have been working to go back and find "George Bauman the Immigrant" and with some help of some kind people I have done that, but still more to go.
"To George Bowman, the immigrant. His son, John Bowman and Mary Magdalene Zerfass/Surface who have given us a pattern of faith and simple living. To the present generations which is striving to leave a good heritage to its posterity. To the future generations who will cherish their heritage so graciously granted them by their honored forebearers."
To my dear Aunt Anna Mae Harman Bowman who wrote those words I hope what I have done does you justice. What a wonderful lady to follow. You have done well.
I hope what I have tried to do helps all who read and leaves on their heart a feeling of peace, love and kinship. Gail Ann Bowman Huggins
