My father: Robert Carl Hughes (born 1915)
My grandfather: Charles Hughes (born 1870)
My great grandfather: Joseph Hughes (born 1845)
My great great grandfather: William Hughes (born 1824)
My great great great grandfather: John Hughes (born 1790)

Most of the Hughes' came from Dunbar, Pa. Joseph Hughes served in the Union Calvary during the Civil War. The earliest Hughes (John) came from New Jersey and "disappeared" around 1835.
