I began this Genealogy Research project to attempt to document the few things I knew about the history of my Father's side of the family. At the start,in 1999, I knew my Grandfather's name, Harold Carlin, his first wife, Luella Cooper - who was my father's birth mother, and my great grandfather's name, Andrew Jackson Hughes. Beyond that, I had only stories, most of which proved to be part fact, part fiction.
