I am looking for any of my Mothers family, she was born Hilda Anne Eileen Phillips Smith, in Chatham in 1923, she had a sister Ethel and two brothers Jim and Harold. Only Jim is now living. Ethel, Jim and Harold were brought up by Granny Shakeshaft of Smith Street, Strood Kent after my maternal grandparents died. My Mum was bought up by her Aunt Annie Brown nee Town of East Street, Chatham and her husband John Brown who was brother of Grannie Shakeshaft. Hilda was Phillip Smith, but Jim Ethel and Harold are all Smith. The family lived in Chatham and Strood Kent. Any information would be gratefully received. My Mums mother was one of 4 sisters "Hilda, Annie, Ethel and another", Hilda married Billy and moved to Sheffield. Annie married a Mr Thompson and lived in Strood, she had daughters one I know is called Palma, and a son John. I am also searching for any of my paternal grandmothers family, also from Strood Kent called "Fucher". Also my father-in-law "Stanley Hughes" once of Manchester now thought to be in Wales where he originated from, he was married to Ann Fraine and had a son Steven.
