There is still a lot of research to do on the Placzek family. So far I've only been able to go back four generations and have not been able to locate any of the Placzeks in Poland or Austria. The ships they came over on or the possible changes in the names. Many of the older generation are now deceased and the records are scanty. My sister in law, Minnie Placzek White and I have been using the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Tarnov, NE publication for the 125th year anniversary. Agnes Placzek's wedding dress is displayed in the museum at St. Michael's school.
We are currently in the process of gathering as much information as possible and putting on discs and on line for others to use.
