About Our Family Research

I am looking for information/relatives of Fred W. Barhoff, born ca. 1878 in Milwaukee, WI. Parents Clara and Fred Barhoff, German immigrants. Clara Barhoff came thru Castle Garden Immigration Center in New York on March 21, 1873. Fred came thru Castle Garden on 22 April, 1872 on board the SS Koln. I believe they came from Prussia. I am assuming they immigrated for a better life, and in Fred's case, to escape being conscripted for the army. The family moved from Wisconsin to Cleveland OH sometime after 1878.

I am guessing that Fred's German name Friederic(SP?)was anglicized to Fredric and abbreviated to "Fred". There is also another Barhoff Immigrant, Adolph, who came over about the same time, also from Prussia, and settled in Cleveland as well....could they be related?
