JANE PETER The funeral for Jane Peter will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov 19, 1993, at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden. Pastor Mark Schuler will officiate the services. Mrs. Peter, 93 of Glidden, died Wednesday, Nov 17, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll after a brief illness. Casket bearers will be Keith Hart, Charles Best, Jerry Wilson, Ron Richardson, Richard Prill and Phil Bushman. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden after 4 p.m. today (Thursday). There will be a prayer service at the funeral home at 7:30 tonight. The casket will be moved to the church at 11:30 a.m. today. Mrs. Peter, a daughter of Charles and Jenny (Seeden) Bushman, was born April 19, 1900, at Glidden, Iowa She was baptized June 24, 1900, and confirmed in May 1915, at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden. She married John Peter on Jan. 11, 1922, at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden. Mrs. Peter and her husband farmed east of Lidderdale until 1956. They then operated the Lanesboro Cafe for 15 years, before retiring in Lanesboro. The couple then moved to a retirement home in Glidden. Mars. Peter had lived at St. Anthony Nursing Home since 1992. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and baking. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church Ladies Aid in Glidden and the O.D.O. Club in Lanesboro. Survivors include a son, Raymond, and his wife, Esther, of Lanesboro; a daughter-in-law, Glenda Peter, of Sedalia, Mo.; two brothers, Earl Bushman and his wife, Dorothy, of Glidden and Robert Bushman and his wife Marge, of Glidden; a sister Gertrude Hunt, of Glidden; nine grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on Jan 12, 1988; a son, Lloyd Peter; four brothers, Harm, Dick, Carl and Harry Bushman; and three sisters, Ada Heuton, Caroline Best and Lillian Schafer.
