Notes for Carl Frederick Bushman: OBITUARY Final rites held for Carl Bushman Final rites were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 10 at the Peace Lutheran Church here for Carl F. Bushman, 63, who lived near Churdan. Mr. Bushman died unexpectedly at his home early Saturday morning. Officiating at the rites was the Rev. Martin J. Ludwig. Organist was John Loeschen who accompanied a ladies quartet, Mrs. Paul Loeschen, Mrs. Clifford Loeschen, Mrs. Clifford Bushman, Mrs. Richard Munster and Mrs. Charles Best. Casket bearers were Alvin Nyght, Donald Fritz, Harold Squibb, Walter Thede, Clifford Bushman, and Albert Janssen. Interment was made in Westlawn Cemetery here. Carl Frederick Bushman was born Feb. 9, 1902, at the family home at Glidden, a son of Charles and Jenny Seeden Bushman. He received his education at Glidden and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. His marriage to Janette Mosher took place on March 25, 1928, with the Rev. F.H. Rudi officiating. They have lived on the present farm since 1957. Mr. Bushman was active in farming until his death. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth of Churdan; a daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Donna) Platt, Glidden; 3 grandchildren, Michele and Denise Bushman and Richard Platt; 5 brothers and 4 sisters Harm, Harry, Earl and Robert Bushman, Mrs. Bernard (Caroline) Best, and Mrs. Albert (Gerturde) Hunt, all of Glidden; Dick Bushman of Carroll, Mrs. John (Jane) peter of Lanesboro; and Mrs. John (Lillian) Schafer of Council Bluffs and a brother-in-law, Louis Heuton of Glidden. He was preceded in death by an infant son and 2 sisters Mrs. Louis Heuton and Hannah Bushman.
