Caroline Lydia Bushman (daughter of Karl Friedrich Buschmann and Johanna Jennie Kampmeier Seeden) was born 24 Mar 1904 in Glidden, Carroll County, Iowa76, and died 19 Jul 1979 in St. Anthony Regional Hospital, Carroll, Carroll County, Iowa. She married Bernard Albert Best on 30 Dec 1925 in Peace Lutheran Church, Glidden, Carroll County, Iowa.
Notes for Caroline Lydia Bushman: OBITUARY MRS. BERNARD (CAROLINE L.) BEST Mrs. Bernard (Caroline Lydia) Best, 75 of 116 Peeble Lane, Carroll, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 19, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She was a nurse's aide who formerly worked at the Carroll Manor and later took care of persons in their homes. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at Peace Lutheran Church, Glidden, with the Rev. James Wells, pastor, officiating. Organist will be Paul Loeschen and he and Cliff Loeschen will sing. Pallbearers will be Virgil Heuton, Lloyd Peter, Kenneth, Larry and Phill Bushman and Cecil Hunt. Burial, under direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home of Glidden, will be in Westlawn cemetery. A prayer service is scheduled at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Surviving are a son, Charles Best, Glidden; a daughter, Betty Best, Carroll; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four brothers; Harm Bushman, Carroll; Dick Bushman, Manning; Harry, Earl and Robert Bushman, Glidden; Three sisters: Mrs. John (Jane) Peter, Lanesboro; Mrs. Gertrude Hunt, Glidden, and Mrs. Lillian Schafer, Carroll; a bother-in-law, John Best, Lanesboro and a sister-in-law, Agnes Best, living in Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1963, a brother Carl and two sisters Ada and Hannah. Mrs. Best, who had lived at her present address for the past three years, was born March 31, 1904 at Carroll. She was married Dec. 30, 1925 to Bernard Best at Peace Lutheran Church, Glidden, with the Rev. Rudi officiating. She was a member of that church and had attended rural school in the Glidden area.
