OBITUARY
LILLIAN MAE SCHAFER
Funeral services for Lillian Mae Schafer, 78, of Glidden, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 11, at Peace Lutheran Church in Glidden. She died Wednesday, Sept 7, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll.
Pastor David Fechner will officiate. Burial will be at Westlawn Cenetery in Glidden.
Visitation will be at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden after 5 p.m. on Saturday. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The casket will be moved to the church at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday where it will lie in state until the service.
Casket bearers are Larry Bushman, Jerry Schafer, Lowell Platt, Phil Bushman, Churck Best and Eldon Squibb.
Honorary casket bearers are Ray Peter, Ray Kruse, Dennis Gibson, and Kenneth, Marvin and Norman Bushman.
Organist is Susan Campbell. The congregation will sing Amazing Grace.
Mrs. Schafer was born May 17, 1910, at Glidden and was the daughter of Charles and Jennie (Seeden) Bushman. She attended community schools and was graduated from Glidden High School on May 17, 1928.

Mrs. Schafer worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha and at New Hope in Council Bluffs. Most of her life was lived in Carroll County.
She is survived by three daughters, Jennie Lou Jacobs, of Carroll, Marjorie Ann Schafer of Glidden, and Marilyn Kay (Mrs. Jim) HOover of St. Peters Mo.; three brothers, Harry Bushman of Lake City, Earl Bushman and his wife, Dorothy of Glidden, and Bob Bushman and his wife Marjorie of Glidden; two sisters, Jane Peter and Gertrude Hunt, both of Glidden; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Hanna Bushman, Ada Heuton and Caroline Best and three bothers
