Notes for Bernard Albert Best: OBITUARY Final rites for Bernard Best, 60 Bernard Albert Best, 60, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon of a heart attack. He did attend a church picnic at the Peace Lutheran Church and became ill there. He went to his home, but became worse. The Huffman ambulance was called, but he died before reaching the hospital. Funeral services were Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran church in Glidden. Mr. Best was a member of the church. Burial was in Westlawn cemetery. Services were in charge of the Rev. Martin J. Ludwig of the Peace Lutheran church. Cliff and Paul Loeschen sand two songs, accompanied by John Loeschen at the organ. Casket bearers were Ernest Jacobs, Lyle Markley, Kenneth Davis, Walter Platt, George Horton and George Lappe. Mr. Best, a lifelong resident of the Glidden Community was born December 15, 1902, the son of Fred and Louise Letze Best. On December 30, 1924, he was untied in marriage to Caroline Bushman, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Charles Best and on daughter Betty, also four grandchildren, Carole, Stanley, Mike and Brian Best all of Glidden; John Best of Churdan and one sister, Agnes Best of Eugene, Oregon.
