Mildred Marie Douglas was born 06 Aug 1912 in Spring Grove, Wisconsin, and died 24 Mar 1985 in Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. She married Harry F. Bushman on 19 Feb 1930 in Peace Lutheran Church, Glidden, Carroll County, Iowa, son of Karl Friedrich Buschmann and Johanna Jennie Kampmeier Seeden.
Notes for Mildred Marie Douglas: OBITUARY MRS. HARRY BUSHMAN Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. this Thursday for Mrs. Harry (Mildred Marie) Bushman, 72, of Glidden, who died last Sunday at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, after a brief illness. She had been at the hospital since January 12. Officiating at Peace Lutheran Church will be the Rev. David Fechner. Organist and pianist will be Cliff Loeschen. A duet will be sung by Rich Schumacher and Carol Fechner. Pallbearers will be Lowell Platt, Chuck Best, Raymond Peter, Kent Douglas, Doyle Douglas and Ronnie Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Douglas, Raymond Kruse, Arnold Heuton, Cecil Hunt and Kurt Douglas. Burial will be Westlawn Cemetery. The family suggest that those who wish to do so may contribute to a memorial fund established in Mrs. Bushman's memory. She was born Aug. 6, 1912, at Spring Grove, Wisc., the daughter of Wayne and Leslie Green Douglas. Her marriage to Harry Bushman took place Feb. 19, 1930, at the Peace Lutheran Church parsonage before the Rev. Rudi. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and of the Ladies Aid. Surviving are her husband, of Lake City; a son Larry, and his wife, Sandy, of Fort Dodge; a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Diane Kay) wheeler of Des Moines; two sisters: Mrs. Calvin (Arlene) Edwards of Carroll, and Mrs. Bill (Charlotte) Smith of Cresco, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Shirl and Howard Douglas.
