MRS SEEDEN OF LANESBORO DIES; SICK TWO YEARS FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR LONG TIME RESIDENT OF COMMUNITY
Mrs Richard Seeden of Lanesboro, a resident of Carroll County for many years, died at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening at St. Anthony Hospital. She had been in ill health for the past two years, but had been able to be about her home until two weeks ago. Since then she had failed rapidly in health. She was moved to the hospital Tuesday. The body was taken to the family home at Lanesboro from the Huffman Funeral Home at 5 o'clock Wednesday evening. Services at the family one at 1:30 Thursday afternoon were followed by final rites at St. John's Lutheran Church in Grant Township with the Rev. George J. Gundel officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, Glidden. Mrs. Seeden was born Anna Bushman, in Germany on March 19, 1867. She was the daughter of Harm and Ada Bushman. She attended school in her native land before coming with her parents and their family to Carroll County, where they located on a farm near Glidden. She live in the same community until her marriage to Richard Seeden which took place in Sheridan Township Lutheran Church about 47 years ago. Mr Mrs Seeden farmed near Glidden for about 35 years. They lived near Lanesboro for ten years before retiring two years ago to make their home in the town of Lanesboro. Mrs Seeden was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Grant twp. Surviving are her widower, four daughters and three sons: Mrs John (Hanna) Topp, Harm Seeden, Glidden: Mrs Louis Kurth (Ade) of Lanesboro; Mrs Joe Heuton (Reckia), Glidden; Dick Seeden, of Ralston; Fred Seeden of Lanesboro; Miss Anna Seeden at home. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, one great grand-child, three brothers, Dick Bushman and Charles Bushman both of Glidden, and Fred Bushman, and one sister, Mrs Henery Meninga of Ackley, Iowa. Mrs Seeden was preceded in death by both her parents and one son, Dick, who died at two years of age. March 19, 1867-Nov 9, 1937
