Richard Seeden (son of Dirk H. Seeden and Johanna F. Kampmeier)715, 716, 717 was born 15 Feb 1867 in Germany, and died 02 Apr 1941 in At His Home in Lanesborro, Iowa. He married Anna Harms Buschmann on 26 Jul 1891 in Sheridan Township Lutheran Church, Carroll County, Iowa, daughter of Harm Klaassen Buschmann and Gretje Frerichs Gerries.

DICK SEEDEN OF LANESBORO DIED WEDNESDAY
Lanesboro

Dick Seeden a retired farmer, died at his home her at 9:30 last Wednesday after being ill health for a long time. The body was returned from the Huffman Funeral Home in Carroll to the family home here Friday evening, to rest until the time of the rites. Services were at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at St. John Lutheran Church in Grant Township, with George J. Gundel officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, Glidden.
Although a native of Germany, where he was born Feb 15, 1867, Mr Seeden had lived in this country since he was thirteen years old, he was the son of Dick and Johanna Kampmeir Seeden. July 26, 1891, he was married to Anna Bushman of Glidden. After farming in Carroll County for many years, Mr and Mrs Seeden moved into the town of Lanesbor in 1936. Mrs Seeden passed away Nov. 9, 1937.
Mr Seeden was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He was the father of eight children, seven of whom are living. They are; Mrs John Topp (Hanna), Harm Seeden, Mrs Louis Kurth (Ade), Dick Seeden, Miss Anna Seeden, Mrs Joe Heuton (Reckia), and Fred Seeden, all of the Lanesboro vicinity with the exception of Dick Seeden of Scranton. Miss Anna Seeden lives in the family home at Lanesboro. Mr Seeden also leaves sixteen grandchildren: 5 great-grandchildren, one brother, Fred Seeden of Glidden, and one sister, Mrs Charles Bushman of Glidden. One son Richard died at the age of two years old. He also preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs Recka Prill and Mrs Maggie Heuton.
