Ludwig (Louis) Huppert , age 33, immigrated to the USA through Ellis Island in 1910. He listed Budapest as his last place of residence. His brother Joseph followed in 1913. Joseph had no children.The Huppert's were ethnic German citizens of Hungary. Louis met and married Ida Taute who had immigrated from Budapest in December 1905 at age 21. Her father Franz (Frank) Taute age 44 had arrived in July 1905 with his oldest son Franz (Frank) age 19. The taute family (wife Anna Wagner Taute age 50, d.Erzsebet (Elizabeth)age 15, d.Klotild (Clitilda)age 11, and s.Gyuler (Julius) age 7, arrived in waves. Information from a US passport application indicates Frank taute originated from a town in Translyvania , then part of Hungary, named Nagyszeben (Hung. name), also named Hermannstad (Ger. name), now called Sibiu (Romanian). The Taute's were also ethnic german. Louis and Ida Huppert produced three sons, Louis, Alexander and Henry. The Louis Huppert's lived in Newark then Hillside N.J.
