I am 16 and live in Dauphin Manitoba Canada.I have been working with memebers of my family on my family history. I have only 2 generations traced back on my father's side. On my mother's father's side I have it traced back at least 6 generations. On her mother's side I have at least 7 generations traced back as well.
Surnames:Huska's, Shwaga's,Ried's, Finely's,Bur's, Blanks
Each of these familes are of fairly good sizes and even the imidiate family streches over Canada, United States, and Euoupe.
This past July my mother's mother's family (Finley&Ried) held a family reunion in Saskathewan, Canada. These reunions are held every 2-4 years.
I am very interested in getting my family history tracd back as far as I can while I still have older family members around to help me. I strongly believe that the history has to be passed on and recorded before it is all lost.
