I am the greatgrandson of Delafayette(born
1851)and Monica(Shipley)Huskey(born 1871).
Delafayette is possibly son of Delafayette
Huskey II(born 1824)and Lucinda Minervia
(Wideman/Rogers)Huskey(born 1824).(dates on
various census different).My Delafayette
lived in Valle Township(outside Desoto.Mo.)on
the 1900 census.They list 3 children: Amanda
S.(Huskey)Cain(born 1889),Anna C.(Huskey)
Foshee(born 1893)and John C.(known as John
Clarence but listed on 1900 census as John W.
).Also possible 4th child born in april 1901.
My cousin Pat(granddaughter to Amanda)has a
bible entry from a bible owned by Amanda
listing a Matt Monroe Huskey(born apr 1901)
with a death of Monica on 9 apr 1901 and Delafayette on 27 april 1901.It doesn't list
the burial places. If any one can verify this
or give place of burial, thanks ahead of time
