My Grandfather from Menslage Germany born in Borg Germany
He came to the US because of the life being lead in Germany before the wwII he was inable to find work
he was a baker in Germany but to come to the US he had to learn a new trade because there was already to many bakers the the area that he was headed for so he had to take up the trade of farming and so he did and came to America by the Hamburg Americana Ship line headed for New York and then a train to St Charles Mo. it would be there that his sister was waiting for him and she knew the Thoele's that had a farm it would be there in Harvester that he would be working and then he would meet the farmers daughter Anita louise Catherine Thoele and this would become the starting of the Henry August Diedrich Huslage Family...
