I am looking for the father of my grandpa. Walter L. Hyatt was my grandfather and my father was James D. Hyatt of Copperhill, Tn.,Polk co. Tn. In 1900 on the polk co.,tn. census, Lee Hyatt Walters brother we believe, is listed as head of household. He says they are from Indiana. He lists Bessie Mcgee as his wife, along with Walter,brother and Poley Hyatt. In 1910 Lee Hyatt states he is from N.C. Some time in between 1910 and 1920 we loose Lee Hyatt as in the 1920 census in polk co., tn, his wife Bessie lists herself as head of household with two children, Fred, and Lena hyatt.On my grandfathers death certificate, they state that a John Hyatt as his father and they don't list his mothers name.On Lee Hyatt and Bessie Mcgee's marriage certificate, on jan.1900,lee spells his name Lea Hyatt with wittness Robert Hyatt. Walter Hyatt marries Alice Margaret Reiordan the 1st time in 1905. Walter marries Minnie Teague the second time, she was from ga. Grandpa Hyatt"Walter" had only one leg due to an injury(burn) where he worked at the tn., Copper Co.In Walter and Alice's marriage they had children,Nora (1905), Maude(1908),James Daniel(J.D.) my dad,(1910),Dorothy(3-26-1912, and Geneva E.(6-15-1913).J.D., my dad married Isabel Nola Deal.
