Peter James Hyman and His Family Tree

Peter James Hyman was born around 1896. His father name was also was Peter James as well born around 1824. Peter James Hyman Sr father name was Abraham Hyman who was a slave and was owned by the white Hyman's of Craven County, North Carolina.
The Hyman's of Craven Country and surrounding area may have been free slaves owned by the white Hyman.
Abraham and his family owned land in the area.
Abraham and his sibling and other family member owned land as well.
Land was use for housing, planting and worship.
A church was named after a white Hyman who gave them their land.
Hyman Chapel A.M.E. Zion church which was name Wesley Chapel.
Peter James Hyman children and grandchildren as well as great and great- great grandchildren is celebrating his life and family by having a Family Reunion in May of 2007.
