James Hyndman born March 15, 1883 in Campie Glen near Stirling in Scotland (my greatgrand father). Married Katharina Jung (born August 4, 1891 in a small village in Annweiler, Germany) on April 23, 1912. She came to Canada with her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Jacob Engelhardt. She then moved to Saskatchewan where she met James Hyndman.
They had four children.
1. Alvin James born in 1913 (decesed)(my grandfather)
2. Charles born 1915 (died at age of 4 months)
3. Bella Anne Jane born 1917 (deceased)
4. Elizabeth Katharina Agnes born 1930 (still living)
Alvin James Hyndman married Eleanor Streb in 1938 and had two children; Catherine (currently living in Alberta) and James (my dad - currently living in Ontario). In 1955 Alvin James then married Edna Smith and had three children: Joanne, John and Bradley.
Bella Married Frank Leaderhouse in 1936. They had three children: Jimmie, Joseph and Marjorie.
Elizabeth (Betty) married Robert Thomas Sterling in 1947. Ther children were Dwana, Roberta, Joanne, Robert Sheldon and Ward.
James passed away December 15, 1951 after a lengthy illness. Katharina passed away suddenly on November 18, 1964.
The branch of Alvin James Hyndman(my grandfather) and Elenor Streb (my grandmother) take part in the Binnie-Muir Annual Reunion on the third sunday of every August at the Wilson Ponds in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Formally this reunion was held at Springwater Provincal Park in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. The coming summer will mark the first wedding to have been held at the Wilson Ponds since the Wilson family took possession in the 1070's. The whole Family is looking forward to it.
