| About Our Family Research |

Our family research began with some simple questions innocently asked by our teenaged daughter. The questions were simple enough; "Where did great-grandpop come from?"... but the answers were hard to come by. I realized that for families such as mine (with origins in foreign lands), the answers to such questions can only be provided by the oldest living members of the family. Interviews with these family elders led to interesting revelations. Photos and documents, as well as stories followed; hopefully, the result will be trasure trove for my children and for future family members.

My paternal grandfather at his christening in 1896. He is held by his godmother; that is his mother in the center. His father stands rear, right and the youngsters are his brothers and sisters.
