About Our Family Research

The Idol's (Eitel/Eytel) originated in Germany. They came to America in 1752 on the St. Andrews. They settled in Pennsylvania and later moved to North Carolina in 1770. They had a tavern. They received a 240 acre land grant from Lord Granville on December 10, 1778.
