When genealogists get together the question always arises, "When did you begin your genealogy?". In my case it began with curiosity about my eighteen first "Hill" cousins. My husband and I were living in Arizona in 1982 when I began to ask questions. I soon discovered that collecting family history is a very "Intriging Occupation". Glendon never ceased to be amazed at what I learned about his family as well as my own.
While living in Arizona, I decided to send Christmas cards to as many of my high school classmates as I addresses for. One of my classmates lives in California and he wrote to me and we soon learned that his ancestors were related to the Ikirt's.
We moved back to our home town in Ohio about 1994. Jack called one day from California and said he wanted to give me a computer. I agreed and he got an airplane and brought the computer to me, set it up and taught me how to use it.
Why?, you ask......Well Jack is Webmaster of our Columbiana County, Ohio Genealogical Society page and I am listed as someone who will do free look ups in my home using my library. I have continued to help people to date (2003).
