I am just getting started with family trees. My Mother has worked extensively in the Impecoven, Hastings, Chapman, Chesebro and Kirchner families. I was raised on a farm in northeast South Dakota and have may relatives in that area. I am a descendent from one of two brothers to came to America in the 1860's My Great Grandfather was Christian Impecoven and his brother was Henry. Christian married Katheryn Goodheart and lived at Baraboo WI. They came to South Dakota to homestead in the Kidder SD area. My grandfather Albert E Impecoven was a blacksmith one of nine children. He learned from his uncles. He married Frances Kirchner of Bird Island MN. They had five children, Harry Impecoven married to Nina Patterson, Evelyn Impecoven Patterson (Mrs. Leslie), Howard Impecoven, Lyle Harold Impecoven (married to Ella May Chesebro Hastings, and Morris Impecoven who died as a child. We are always interested in finding more Impecoven's and do not have a formal reunion plan (yet).
