"The Santiago Infante Families of Brownsville, TX
The story goes that Santiago Infante, came from Spain,
via Veracruz, Mexico, later he took a boat on the Soto
la Marina River up to near Linares, N.L., Mexico. Santiago's
son known was Filomeno Infante Martinez, later their son
Sostenes, and Pablo Infante came to the border on the Rio
Grande, and settled near San Benito, Texas, near Los Indios, Tx.
These same familiar later moved to Thomaston, Texas, near Victoria, Texas. My father and his sibling were born. Later in the mid 1920 or 30's they moved back to the Rio Grande Valley in
city of Brownsville, Texas. My parents were married Ruben Infante
and Raquel Mendez in 1932.
