John Inglis (son of James Inglis and Unknown) was born Abt. November 1810 in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland, and died 21 December 1882 in 29 Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent. He married (1) Ann Rowan on 17 April 1833 in Georgetown Demerara, Guyana.29. He married (2) Margaret Innes on 11 July 1849 in Fort St. George, India, daughter of Willaim Innes.
Notes for John Inglis: Last Will & Testament. This is the Last will and Testament Of me John Inglis of Gillingham Kent Firstly I desire that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses be paid and satisfied by my Executer herinafter named as soon as convenienly may be after my decease and Secondly I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate free hold property and all other effects whatsoever and wheresoever both real and or personal whether in possession reversion remaider as expectancy unto Margaret my beloved wife and at her death or remarriage to my beloved son George Henry Inglis to and for his own use and benefit absolutely and I nominate and consider and appoint Margaret my lawful wife and George my lawful son to be Executors of this my will and hereby revoking all former or other Wills by me at any time heretofore made I declare this to be my last Will and Testament I witness whereof I the said John Inglis have this to my last Will and Testament set my hand the seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three - John Inglis- Signed by me Testator John Inglis and acknowledged by him to be his last Will by us as witness in the presence of the said Testator and of each other William Morris - John Birtwell
On the 22nd January 1883 Probate of this Will was granted to George Henry Inglis one of the Executors.
