I am the daughter of Vito Ippolito and Anna Ingoglia. Vito Ippolito descended from Giussepe Ippolito and Caterina Messina and Anna Ingoglia descended from Thomas Ingoglia and Lillian Polese. Giuseppe (Joseph) Ippolito came from Alcamo, Sicily and immigrated to US sometime after World War I. Caterina Messina was from Palermo, Sicily. I believe 2 of Guiseppe Ippolito's brothers married 2 of Caterina Messina's sisters. I am not sure where Thomas Ingoglia lived but I believe it was somewhere in Sicily. I belive Lillian Polese is from Trapani, Sicily. Joseph and Caterina Ippolito lived in Brooklyn and owned a tailor shop. I believe they lived on McDonald Ave. Thomas Ingoglia was a grocer who I believe lived on or near Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn and moved his family and grocery business to Deer Park, Long Island sometime in the early 1950's.
