The ISBELL -- LAFOY Families of the South

Updated January 11, 2001

About Our Family Research

Hi! My wife, Peggy, has done the research in her family and is trying to teach me how to go about it myself. I can remember a lot of my relatives by sight, but sometimes don't quite know how they fit into our family tree. I have gathered many photographs and with Peggy's help, we are making sense of it all... well, OK, not all!
I got interested in this project when I found out that two ISBELLs are listed on the San Jacinto Monument, James H. ISBELL, my great uncle and William ISBELL, my great grandfather. Peggy said I had to PROVE my relationship to these people, not just take it for granted. So, here are the fruits of our labor!
